Lectures/talks
Lectures and talks are an important part of the Museum's public activities. These are often relevant to current exhibitions and projects, but may also have a more general, wider perspective.
Some lectures are single events, whilst others are part of a series that explore various aspects of the visual arts in an historical or contemporary perspective.
Lecturers are Museum staff, or guest speakers with specialist knowledge of a particular area. Discussion meetings that explore current issues are also arranged.
Due to the opening hours of The National Museum, lectures are normally held on Thursday evenings. Lectures and talks will be advertised on our website, in the bi-annual Museum programme and in the newspapers.
