Art 3. Works from the Collection 1814–1950

This presentation of historical works from the National Museum's collections includes highlights and national "icons" arranged on a largely chronological basis. The main emphasis is on periods of Norwegian art history. The displays are on the museum's first floor; 19th century art in the south wing, art from 1900-1950 in the north wing. In the Munch Room visitors will find world-famous works such as "The Scream" and "Madonna".
